Dual exhaust and K&N cold air intake
Dual exhaust and K&N cold air intake
Ok, here's a couple of questions. I like the way the dual exhaust sounds and supposably it increases HP which is great but does the dual exhaust take away from the silence in the cab? Another question is, if I get the K&N cold air intake and water splashes up into my engine compartment will the K&N decrease it effictiveness drastically?
Thanks
Thanks
Duals will not increase your HP.. they do sound nice and look nice, but by themselves will decrease your torque.
You shouldn't have any worries about a K&N or any other CAI sucking up water unless you plan on driving down creekbeds up to the rockers..

No question, a custom tuned Xcal2. No other single mod at that price point ( under $500) will come close.

As for the sound in your cab, I have an 04' 5.4 and i true dualled it with 40 series flowmasters. I had them dumped over rear axle, but pointing at like a 45, Since i have no echo off the ground i can barely hear them on the highway. I can still have a conversation at normal level without any annoiance. The cab noise played a huge role in iff i wanted duals or not. The flowmaster guy recommended this setup so the cab would stay quiet.
