Dumb Question...need help
I installed my Airaid last week and it has been great. This morning, my ABS light came on. I didn't think alot about it, I checked the fuses thinking I may have blown one, but no luck. The vehicle still breaks fine so I am in no real panic. My next step, I guess, is to take it to the dealer, but I wonder if the dealership will give me a hard time because of the CAI I installed. Anyone have any input? I had to move the brake lines out of the way to install the heat shield for the CAI. Actually, I only pulled the plastic clip that holds the brake lines out from the frame and pushed them all aside. Would that have popped the code? I wouldn't think so????
Also, I thought I had read on here before about a law or ruling that prevents a dealership from voiding a warranty on something that is not directly affected by an aftermarket mod.

Hi.
Sounded coincidental, until you said you touched the brake lines
You've got two choices:
1> Remove the intake & take it in for warranty work (sorry Quintin lol).
2> Print out the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act ( http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/...warranty.shtm), take it with you. If they give you a hassle, show it to them. Be aware that this still my not work depending on the dealer. Prepare to defend your rights.
If they do find a problem in the area of the brake stuff you touched, be prepared to defend that too
BTW - thanks for making my 2,000th post a reality ! LOL!
Cheers

thanks for the quick reply
Do you think unhooking a plastic clip from the frame would set that off? I installed it last Friday and didn't get the light until this morning. I never actually unplugged the actual brake lines. Just the clip that is taped to the lines that holds it to the frame of the vehicle.
