The other day I purchased 28in 2 1/2 in and out Thrush Glass Pack for my 2005 5.4L XLT. I am wonder if I replace my stock muffler with it will it sound alot meaner. I am not really wanting to put duals on it so I figured this was the cheapest loudest way to go. I hope !!! Has any one used this set up and how is it?

 

A friend of mine installed the same muffler on his 2000 5.4 and it sounds great. He had the muffler shop cut out the stock muffler and weld in the Thrush muffler. Let us know how it sounds!

 

oh yeah that will be much louder than a stock muffler. way louder.

 

it would cost 30-40 bucks to have your muffler cut out and a piece of straight pipe put in...you'd problably like the sound more.
