i have a 04 f150 5.4 V8 w/ duals with no muffler , i had a 03 f150 kings ranch screw and it was louder than the 04. all i did to the 03 was cut the muffler off and run dual w/ 22x4in maggie tips, i cut those tips off and put them on the 04 its loud but different. is there any legal way of making it louder?

 

Cut the 4 cats off and replace with 2 high flow cats

 

thats what i was planning on doing but i dont want my truck to sound ragged out and i thought that two hi flow cats would do that. but if anybody has done this i would like to know everything and possibly hear a sound clip of it.

 

high flow cats will just make it louder as is, not scorching loud, same as it is now just louder

 

thanks for the reply. i probably will do that when i save a few hundred up, cuase im still high school and i cant work cause of my knee. how much do you think it would cost for everything including a estimate of putting it on.
