Any Intake requirement in Ca???
Any Intake requirement in Ca???
I am considering purchasing a new intake; however, is there anything I need to know regarding all the stringent smog laws in my home state of California before making the right choice. I'm unsure if all these are "smog-legal". Thanks for your replies.
Speaking of the CARB sticker
.. lol.. when I ordered my AF1 from Troyer the instructions said "soon to be certified", that there would be a CARB sticker available soon..
I don't even know if I need one here, tho I might as they do emissions test here now and in the surrounding counties.. inspection is due in July, guess I better shoot TP an email..

If I lived where you do, I'd avoid anything that claimed "soon to be certified". If it doesn't pass certification you'll be replacing the parts or if it's still pending, you'll also have to replace them prior to getting your sticker. Not worth the hassle if you ask me....
I actualy emailed AF1 about this and they said it is being reviewed by the CARB board at this time. They also said they are expecting approval any week now. I am going to hold off buing one untill they get it.
Hey, if nothing else I'll have one of the mechanics at work "inspect" it.. I guess a sticker would be good but it's not like my truck smokes out the pipe or anything.. I'll consider it a 12 pack well spent..
