Lightning vs rear exit

Is the lightning style exit (duals out in front of one rear tire) louder than dual exits behind both rear tires? using the same muffler.

The Lightning exhaust would be a little louder, but not enough to make a big difference.

Having less pipe i think the lightning exhaust would be louder but like said about it wouldn't make much differece so go on preference

ive had both, the lightning was great passing people, the sound would bounce off their car. it was great wheeling, it didnt get hung up when i would back over things. and burn outs, it would blow the smoke back and away from the truck, looked pretty cool. i cont say if it was to much oulder bc i had the original 40 on that lightning set up so it was louder than the super 40 on the new one and i had two diff engines. but the lightning style was great and id go with it again. i like it more that my dual out the rear.

Lightning might be a little louder, but your risking your right rear wheels nice finish unless you keep up on the polishing. Make sure if you get the before tire tip its mounted right so it wont blow the fumes to the tire.

It sure lets them know that your not pleased with there slow driving.
I have true dual straights with an x-pipe through 3 1/2 tips lightning style. It sound so much better than my dumped IMCO, and dumped straights, and its somthing not everyone has. BTW its very loud and is very loud in the cab at 2000 rpm at 70 so be prepaired. It makes it hard to drive normal because you keep wanting to go WOT just to hear it bounce off the building and everything else.
