Thinking of getting the maggie #12158 SIDO 2.5 center in and 2.5 dual outs. It's 14" and was looking at some 4" x 18" tips to exit behind the rear wheels. OR should I get the 11" #11366 SISO I have a flow 40 now and love he sound but want that torque back. Will the 11" or 14" drone too much in the cab AND will the sound still compare to my flow 40 single out....Thanks

 

I have the 12158 on my 05 4.6L reg cab exiting in front of the rear tire with 3"x12" tips. The drone in the cab is not that noticable. I like it alot better than the Flowmaster 40 on the Sport Trac that I had.

 

Is it as loud as the flow...what difference did you find?

 

Anyone else have any thoughts?

 

Its louder than the Flow at WOT, but the Flow was louder at idle. I had the Flow on a 4.0L V6. I could tell a little difference in throttle responce and it seems to be faster.

 

Hey thanks for he reply..is your maggie a deeper sound than the flow and is the maggie not as rappy sounding. So it's safe to say that you would prefer the maggie now over your flow 40. Thanks

 

With the setup above would there be much difference in sound between the 4.6L and the 5.4L...What dif if any? Thanks a lot

 

No prob, glad I could help. Its deeper than the Flow. If I still had the Sport Trac, I would replace it with a Maggie. With the 5.4L, it should be louder because its a bigger motor.
