sorry if this has been asked before but, are there any drawbacks from just chopping off my muffler, my exhaust would then be coming out under the cab, could I just get some pipe and weld it so it goes straight back or something?

 

I just chopped my muffler off of my 4.6 Expy. It sounds incredible. I have heard drawbacks such as decreased fuel milege, burning up the cats and stuff like that, but I'm not sure if thats totally true, but I dont care, my truck sounds badass.
