I've got a manual cut-out on my truck and man it sounds awesome. I've got a flowmaster 40 with 3" pipes and 3.5" Tips and when you put the plate back on you don't even know it is there. I paid 28 bucks from summit and 30 more to get it installed. I didn't notice any loss of power whatsoever and it was one of the best mods I have done so far. I highly recommend it.

had a cut out fabbed up for 60 dollars. Did not notice any difference until i eliminated two cats. WOT is obnoxious with the plate off. I love it though

So your check engine light didnt turn on when you removed 2 cats?....I'm changing my exhaust soon and was thinking of doing this but I'm not sure if that would bother the ECU or not....

I'm pretty sure cut-outs rob a little horsepower....not much though.

If you cut off the rear cats then it will not throw a code. If you get under the truck and look at the cats, there are 4 sensors. The sensors only affect the first two cats, havent thrown codes and it has been a week.
