I just installed an AF1 on my 05 4.6l yesterday and I'm impressed with it, both the performance and looks.. I have to say I'm more than a little confused tho about a couple of things.. It appears that the blue filter is made by K&N (even tho AIR FORCE ONE is engraved on the chrome ring on the intake end), and the cleaning / oiling kit appears to be made by S&B..
If anyone knows if this is normal I'd like to know.. are all the intake makers in cahoots somehow? .. not that it matters too much, the truck is happy, I'm happy

Tex - AF1's filters are actually made by S&B

Hmm.. so just what makes the AF1 superior to S&B?.. I've read that AF1 has the superior dyno results, but what is it that differs between them? Bear in mind that I switched majors because of Bernoulli equations.. Does AF1 make air go all good thru that thing that does that thang better than S&B?
