Question what?

im very new to exhaust for trucks (only ever done exhaust on a honda 125 dirt bike) and pretty much have no clue what anything is but i really want something that is quiet when im not on the gas and kinda loud when i am.
(please explain what everything is to me). I have a '99 F-150 4x4 lariat 5.4L

Any suggestions?

I put a Borla SISO on my 05' Screw and love the sound.. can't even hear it when cruising at a steady speed, nice deep rumble when you put your foot down.. it's not the loudest out there by any means, but it was just what I wanted.. Good luck!!

I would go with Magnaflow, proven performance gains with no drone (unwanted noise in cabin). Check your local mufflers shops before ordering on-line. I had mine done for $300. I got a single in/dual out (SIDO) muffler, mandrel bent tubing, 2 4"x18" polished SS Magnaflow tips.

I had Flowmaster's on my last truck. They were cool at first, but the drone was horrible!

I put the Mag on this truck because it sounded great on my friends truck. No drone at all. You barely hear it cruising at speed, but when you get on it it really wakes up. I also picked up 1.5 MPG.

Hope this helps ya.
