home made intake

so i did the do it yourself intake where u cut the peice of sheetmetal to go around the filter and clamp it in, and ive lately noticed a whistling/sucking noise, didnt notice it when i first did it, is it leaking somewhere(i looked and couldnt see anywhere) or is this just the noise it makes, to be honest it sounds kinda cool so i hope it is just the sound it makes. thanks,
Scott p.s. i noticed a mileage gain (slight maybe .5 to 1) and a little better power.

I've seen this done a few times.. I think that the show TRUCKS did this too and proved it does make more power and MPG, but none comparable to that of a aftermarket replacement.. Don't quote me on that but for some reason I remember seeing that on TRUCKS.. Looks nice!!!!!

thanks, btw the whistling isnt from the intake its from a bad vacuum line. it threw a cel and i had the shop scan it and they said it was a bad vacuum line so it goes in monday to get fixed. the intake dosnt really make any noise at all. but i did feel more power and ive noticed increased mileage.
