First post here, but I have been reading a lot the past month or so. I just got a 2001 F150 5.4 extended cab with the offroad package. It is stock and I am wanting to replace the muffler. I have read that the FM 40's have some drone issues and I used to have them on several mustangs, and it can get annoying. I have kids and don't want anything loud on longer trips or highway speeds.

That being said, I think i'm going to go with the magnaflow. Can someone recommend the part # that I would need if i'm going to just have the local muffler shop cut off the stock and replace it with the magnaflow? Also, what about a SS tip? Would they just weld that on as well?
