Low Back Pressure?

I have just cut my exhaust on my 2005 5.4L right after the y pipe. The plan is to send it out right in fron of my rear wheel using a 4th generation corvette exhaust tip. Well it feels like i lost alot of low end would it be in my best interest to throw a muffler on or just run the pipe right out the side.

put a performance muffler on it such as magnaflow and you should gain a little power and get a good sound.

I'd add a Magnaflow and then run your pipe wherever you want, you'll gain all your low end plus some.
