If you arent looking to break the bank with an exaust set up, get a SISO dynomax bullet dump it before or after the axle, and call it a day. The only time i see drone is holding 1700-1900 rpms under a load, like going up a steep hill and the throttle at 1/3 way down. Which is very rarely in the city, and again even when it drones, its nothing obnoxious in the cab.

if youd like to hear a sound clip i can post a few videos

I had a very slight drone from my SISO Magnaflow. I noticed last week when I got into it with the windows down what sounded like an exhaust leak that you couldn't hear until WOT with the windows down.

I finally crawled under the truck after cranking it Friday and noticed that the joints on either side of the muffler were leaking condensation really badly and there was carbon all over both joints in places as well. After the system warmed up I could actually feel an exhaust leak with my hand. The joints didn't set deeply in either place at install and still fit in the hangers correctly. The leaks were not noticeable after I first installed it a few months ago but the clamps were still very tight. I guess it just took a while for everything to settle out.

I went to NAPA and bought two of their wide stainless exhaust band clamps and replaced the stock Magnaflow U-bolt clamps.

The exhaust leak sputter at WOT is now gone as well as the drone... which was a welcomed although unexpected result.

Some of you guys with the drone problem may want to check for leaks. I'm still amazed at the difference two different style clamps made.

Which do you guys suggest?
When I called Magnaflow they told me to go with the 5x11x22 muffler SI/SO, they said it has all of the performance with no drone.
