clean filter, but no oil on

What will happen after I clean my AF1 filter tonight and dont put oil on it? I thought I had oil but i dont and i already washed the filter. I would've had a spare but the guy at troyerperformance.com who i spoke to ordered the wrong replacement filter so now im screwed and im leaving fora trip on friday morning. The guy sent me an airraid replacement filter that doesn't fit the maf to filter adapter.

Will no oil on the af1 filter be really bad?

Don't run it without the oil!

From K&N's web site FAQ section:

"17. Do the filters come pre-oiled or must they be oiled before using?

K&N filters come pre-oiled and ready to use. The filter medium is made from layers of white cotton gauze. The oil has a red dye added to show how much is being applied. If the filter looks pinkish-red, it is oiled. It is important that K&N air filters are never used unoiled. This would greatly degrade their filtering ability. "

Go to a local part store & pick up a K&N cleaning/oiling kit - they're everywhere. Will suffice as a replacement - except it'll be red
