14" maggie

I've been checking around with some of the local muffler shops here in Golden and have found one that will give me a reasonable price on a cat back system. they have a special on a system with a 14" magnaflow, from what I've read on here I think I want the 18". my question is how much louder is the 14 than the 18? thanks guys

I have an 18" SI/DO and on idle its not noticeable, only time you can tell its not stock is on hard acceleration. I'm about to totally redo my exhaust, getting ready for the heads/cams/turbo.

LT headers/high flow cats/xpipe/dual 11" SI/SO's dumped

You will want more sound after the newness of the 18" wears off, go ahead and get the 14" you won't be sorry.

My 18" mag is cool but I'm going with a 24". I would rather play more and draw less attention from the police than play less and draw more attention due to the nice sound I get in the upper rpm range.

thanks, sounds like I'll pay the extra $40 they want to put the 18" on, I'm not really doing this to have a loud obnoxious sound I just want to know it when I'm on the gas, not when I'm sitting at the drive thru.

I'm just going with one of the local shops here, the only reason its more is cuz they've got a special with the 14" so I'm assuming their overstocked and want to get rid of them. I guess I never really thought of getting a muffler and having someone put it on maybe I'll consider that
