Question Got a quick question

I was wanting to run true dual exhaust on my 06 supercab. I was just going to cut both the cats off and run the pipes back with glass packs on there but i don't know if I should do that or not cause i don't know if you have to keep the cats one there or not. I guess what they don't know what hurt I suppose

If you want to cut your cats off, you'll need MIL eliminator to keep the check light off. Personally I wouldn't cut them. You'll miss that low-end power.

Your rear 02 sensor will not be able to adjust and your fuel mileage will suffer along with other related problems.

Depends, my pickup is (95) ODB-I and cutting the cats off did nothing but make it a bit louder. No telling of loss of low end power or fuel mileage yet.

So my best bet is to get a high performance cat and then run the exhaust

I think it's only in some states, but atleast here in florida we dont have emissions test's so they wouldn't find out either way. Had no Cat's on a previous sports car of mine felt a little power loss in the low end so i ended up with Hi flow cat's.

The law says you can't tamper with cats until 75K or if damaged. At least a few years ago it was that way.

If you take a look (at least on my '03) you'll see sensors BEFORE AND AFTER the Cats..... you will very likely freak out your computer. Unless you are running your truck at the track every weekend... just leave the cats in.

You may have to do some searching. Most shops here won't swap the cats out, unless they have 75k miles or are damaged.
