i had a 2003 KR screw with no muffler and it was loud . But i just got a 2004 Lariat screw and i cut the muffler off and its not as loud is that cause the 04 has a different motor setup? the 04 sounds deeper but its not as loud, it doesnt even pop. so i was thikin bout cuttin all four cats off and put two high flow cats on, would that sound good or would it sound wragged out?

 

You could just have the rear 2 cats cut off and leave the front 2 in place. Thats what I am going to do this spring, I was going to have it done a couple weeks ago but things came up so I havn't been able to get it done.

 

yeah try chopping the pre-cats first before spending the $$$ for high flows, if its not as loud as you wish, go get some magnaflow high flows
