Going Friday...Flowmaster 70 or 50?

I don't want too loud at all, just more than stock. I'd like for it to be quiet on the highway but have enough sound so when you get on it you know have a v8. But not loud and obnoxious. The muffler guy reccomended a flowmaster 70 big block. He runs this on his suburban or a flowmaster 50. I'm just doing a SISO setup just like stock. Just wondering what people would reccomend out of these two?

Get the 50. Gives it some decent rumble and sound, but is pretty quiet in my opinion in the cab. Honestly could barely hear it in the cab when I was running just that instead of the stock muffler. I have the 40 series now and its way louder now in the cab.

I am in the same boat as you on how you don't want the drone when drusing on the highway. I have a buddy with a 70 series on his Chevy and when he chomps on'er you can barely hear it. I also have a buddy with a 50 series on his hemi and that is the one I am going with because you can't hear it at idle, when your slowly accerating you can nicel hear it but when he chomps on'er you can definitely hear the V8 behind it. The 50 series is only loud when you want it to be.

I would recommend the 50 as well. I have the SIDO setup on my truck and love it. I originally had the 40 series but thought there was way too much drone in the cab so I swapped it out for the 50. Quiter than the 40 (obviously) but if you step on it you know you have a v8 under the hood and so will others around you.

I think I may got with the 50 then. It's cheaper too. $125 installed vs. $175 installed for the 70 series big block. He did say when he cuts off my stock muffler he'll hold both up so I can hear them. I'll let you guy know on Friday! Thanks.

I have the 50 series and it is just what your looking for. When on the highway you won't even know its there unless you stomp on it. I have three kids and wife that would let me know if it was to loud. Good luck
