AEM Brute Force & Magnaflow, just added pics!

Well boys, installed the AEM Brute Force polished air intake system...then followed that up with the Magnaflow 16612 bolt on catback kit.

The intake looks beautiful, the install was simple...didn't throw any codes. It sounds great! It seems to really take big gulps of air...

The exhaust kit was first rate! The install was simple, although getting the stock exhaust off was a pain in the ***! Were it not for those godforsaken rubber bushings it would have been a lot easier. It was just hard to get the stock hangers out of those dudes. Luckily, the truck was on a rack at my retail store, or it would have killed us. The kit fit up perfectly once the stocker was removed and we were done in a few clamps. Big thanks to my buddy Shelby for his hard work teaching me how to do this crap. (I'm not a very hands on kinda guy when it comes to exhaust or things under the hood.)
The sound is NICE! Deep and throaty when I romp on it, but mellow at idle and under normal city driving. The drone is next to nothing, so I'm highly impressed.

Magnaflow and AEM makes some quality parts...

Breathe in:

Sure...

Sure you can...

If you will let me know when, I'll make sure that I'm there. (I'm at the corporate office most of the time.)

True words there.

We determined that after 15 or 20 minutes worth of cursing. LOL

Hah! I just put on the Corsa si/so w/dual 4" tips, and I hear ya on the removal of the stock system being the hardest part. The front hanger was easy to get out, but the back two were a PITA. I finally used a 2x4 and was able to get some leverage on the middle hanger. It slid right out, after that.

I had a little trouble with my install and those hangers, but a little bit of lube and a pry bar and its not that hard.

If you do that often enough, there is a hanger tool that is a lot like a pair of pliers, here's a link:

Great tool if needed, waste of money of only needed once or twice.

I have the AEM polished intake with flowmaster SIDO with 4" tips and it sounds awesome.....no drone, quiet until you want it to be loud, and the aem takes HUGE gulps of air.....plus with the edge level 3 with 93 octane gas, its impressive for a four door truck!
