Hey guys, i am curious about purchasing glass packs from DynoMax. I have 40 series Flowmasters with 2.50inch pipe with 3 inch tips coming out at the bumper. My truck which is a 98 lariat 4x4 3 door with the 4.6L sounds good as it is but just doesnt have that growl my friends have. But my question is....If i buy my glass pack and just chop off my muffler and put the glass pack in that spot will that work for my setup. I am new to exhaust cause my father had the 40's put in before he gave me the truck. But please tell me everything i will need to do and buy to get everything right.

 

Sure it should fit right in its place if its got a 2.5" inlet. If the Dynomax muffler you speak of is si/do ( single in/dual out ) and you want it to connect right up to the tips on it now sure exhaust shop will make it happen
