Well, ive been doing alot of research for a CAI for my 2001 4x4 screw 4.6l, and i like the AF1 and now after researching the Airaid i like that one as well, which one is better for my engine and year truck? I read a thread where mike troyer informed a guy with around the same year truck to go with an airaid intake and a troyer customer tune. But ive also seen where he really boasts about the AF1, im stuck, lil help please!

 

Get whichever intake you think looks the best or has the best price. The difference power gain wise between the two intakes is minimal...

well i have the air raid. it seems to be very good. i need to stop driving so hard though, but i get no drone from the system as i have heard others, over all i like it. serves its purpose. hope this helps

 

thanks, i found a good deal, my buddy is getting rid of his f150 and he is putting all factory parts back on, so he said he will sell me his used airaid, model#400-118 for 75.00, its in great condition, i was wanting to get the AF1 but i cant seem to find a good price for one, only see em for 240. so with a difference of 165.00, the airaid sounds like a good buy, maybe it is a few hp low performance wise but everyone says you wont even see the difference. what do yall think?

 

Yea, for that price you should be all set. If you still are interested with what people think about these 2 intakes search these forums a little more, there are tons and tone of threads about this... Report back on your thoughts after you get the intake installed...
