what will happen???

hey, i have a 99 f-150 4x4 reg. cab short bed, 4.6 5 spd. what will happen if i remove the cats from this truck? dose it mess with the computer if i remove them but keep the 0'2 sensor? any help would be great!

yes, you need the dummy 02 sensors that fools the computer into thinking that it has cats.

The dummy sensors are called MIL Eliminators. You'll need em if cut the cats. Personally I would use high flow cats. I lost a good bit of low end when I cut the cats off my last truck.

As long as you keep the 02s in place you my not need the mils.Some get away with out a light coming on and some don't.
