Exhaust Questions

I'm looking at getting a few mods to help this 4.6 out when I tow my drag car. How much of a improvement does a high flow catted midpipe typically gain you in rwhp? How about the catback exhaust? My current exhaust tailpipe is in front of the rear wheel not back by the rear bumper. Any gains by getting a rear exit kit verses the stock exit?

Thanks
Kurt

Well, I guess the first part about your RWH depends some on your intake. Assuming it is stock, you have a limited advantage. Your torque is the important part of your towing so I would say it would help some.

Side exit is better and single pipe is better that dual for torque gains in the low end.

I assume you don't want to blow exahust on your trailer or risk damage to your tips as a dual back exit so I would suggest a side exit single.

I am in the same boat with a 5.4 where I wanted torque to tow and I did the Magnaflow SISO. I like it a lot
