And increase the stink. Which was a repurcussion that I was not anticipating.

that is why the best thing you should do is cut all 4 cats and install 2 magnaflow high flow cats. Much better sound, and it wont stink at all, and emissions are lower than with the 4 stock cats.

Nope, and I gutted my front cats last sunday, (to practice, because my mom's expy is making the rotten egg smell), and my truck will powerbrake without the edge. It is also 2mph faster in the 1/4 mile. But I've only run it once, so that might just be a fluke. It does have TONS more low end torque now though. But I suppose that could be coincidence too. I just replaced the spark plugs.

It will make it louder, but as for performance gains, I don't think its worth it. Especially the smell. I can't even sit at a drive thru now. It smells like raw fuel. I hate it.

Are magnaflow cats just high flow or do they have high flow models? Been looking around and have seen magnaflow cats but none that are titled high flow.
Thanks

is ramming a heavy rod into the cats a good way to gut them or do they need to be dissassembled?

I cut off the post cats this last weekend and felt no noticable loss in power. I felt a gain in power at WOT at highway speeds, mainly from 80-100 mph. Does not smell at all on my 04 with two cats left.
