Debating on remvoing cats

I have a 2002 F150 4x4 Extended Cab with a 4.6L V8 and automatic. Currently I have added a K&N air filter, SI/DO Flowmaster 50 series exhaust, and an Edge Evolution programmer.

*I'm saving to buy electric fans and a Volant cold air intake*

Im just looking to help the throttle response some. We don't have emission checks here either.

-Would removing my cats help the truck much performance wise?
-Will it throw a check engine light?
-Will my exhaust be any louder?
-Will it hurt my gas mileage?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
