K&n??

O.K. I am trying to run another pitch by my dad (who does not believe in aftermarket parts) so i can spend MY money (which makes me even more mad) to get a K&N cool air intake. Is there really a difference or is it all just "Oh yeah I got a K&N!"???? I hear a lot, I just need some marketing swing for my dad whose a marketing manager.

P.S. I already tried the Improved Gas Milage..."Thats what you said about the edge....now you just drive harder same MPG"

The same thing that got you with the Edge will prevail with the K&N, You will probably just drive it harder same MPG. I have been putting on performance intakes, chips, and exhaust on trucks and bikes for years. My main goal has always been performance very seldom have I seen MPG increases, but I drive with my foot in it also. I sympathize with you my Dad is the same way and I am twice as old as you. Sometimes I have to remind him he was the same way in the 50-60's.

If money is a bit of an issue (as it is w/ a starving military school kid ) lol what would be better to put into the engine first a K&N or a new muffler/exhaust package. I know the exaust would make me look more AWESOME lol but I want to slowly improve performance if it means that people can't see its cool I don't care. In short what would be a better mod first Exhaust, or Cool Air Intake?
