Header Help

I really need to get some headers for my truck.. I have looked at both Gibson and Pace Setter. The Gibson is a lot more expensive than the Setters. I have been told that i am just gonna be paying for the name if i got the gibsons and that the setters are basicly the same thing. I am considering the Setters but i have found the shorty headers and the long tube style for basiclly the same price..the short style was like thirty bucks cheaper..anyways which way do i go on this?? Short or long?? what's the difference. or do ya'll recommend any other headers?? Thanks

if you're going to do it, get the right kind. i have gibson ceramic coated shorty's and love them. still look like they did the day i put them on.

I have the Gibson's,,very nice but you will see no power gains with the shorty's. I'm taking them off and getting a set of long tubes.
Dynatechs are about the best out there but there 1000 bucks!!
I know a guy with a set of Kooks I'm getting for $700.

yep, long tubes are the only way to go... I gained no power with shorties, and 30hp 35ftlbs torque with dynatech long tubes!

definatly save up for longtubes, but if you need to replace ur headers go with OEM ones or w/e is cheapest in price.

dude... i love my pace setters. i have the 3" long tubes... only prob i have is quieting my system down, hehe. not a complaint by me. w/ the catco hiflo's running about 70 a pop, it was worth it. oh yeah, the fit was perfect. dunno about the coating but i dont care. headers always tarnish... period. ive had two or three sets on my old mustang and other ford trucks, ceramic, chrome, stainless yada yada, all of em' had issues one way or another. as long as they seal right im happy. but def go long tubes no matter what you do. its worth it....

Thanks a lot man. I will go long tubes then. I am having trouble finding headers for my 98 but i pacesetter has some. I will probably just go with the black ones. I appreciate it. I found some pretty cheap and i can pay monthly on them so i think it's a pretty good deal.. thanks again
