Magnaflow true dual exhaust help/questions

Hey guys, tax return $$ is coming and its time to get rid of the stock exhaust on my 04 f150 4x4. I would like to junk the entire system from the manifolds back, and install new (2 instead of 4) magnaflow cats and dual magnaflow mufflers. My question is do I use their universal cats? and if so wich part # should I use? same goes with the mufflers, which part #s should I get? I dont trust the exahust shops around here to get me the right parts at the right price so I'm going to get them myself and find someone to bend the pipe and weld everything up for me. A few of the shops I've talked to said that running this type of system will make my CEL to come on and my truck to run like crap, anyone have any input on this?

i run 2.25" for max tq retention- magnaflow x-pipe and 14335 [4x9x14ss ] mufflers- i kept my stock cat-i'd contact magnaflow directly as to what cat they recoomend] then buy your stuff online from performance peddler or hotexhaust.com=then take parts to exhaust shop-phil-ther are pics in my gallery of my setup

Exhaust system

Hydrocarbon 302,
i just had my high flow cats installed last weekend, no cel only a nice deep rumble @ idle and the cab fills w/ sound when I mash the gas pedal.I got the cats off e-bay form a place called Barnhart 4x4 service. They were $60.00 apiece.I like them. The Magna flows are also on e-bay,they're a little more.I cut my pipes @ the Y,ran 2 pipes straight back to a Magnaflow X pipe, back to two 40 series Flomasters.Have the shop you have your work done at leave your rear o2 sensors and you wont get a cel.I noticed my F/M's are much louder since I had the cats installed.I had to go to three shops before I found someone who remove my factory cats, but it was worth it.My exhaust system works well w/ the mods I have done to my truck, and I love the sound.I hope this helps.Good luck w/ your exhaust.
