Heat Shield
How necessary is a heat shield? I am looking at a couple of K&N's on eBay but they don't have heat shields included. Should I keep looking until I find one with a heat shield? Thanks, MAc

My K&N didn't come with a heatshield either, and I think it's working just fine. You could always fab one yourself if it's a concern for you.

I've got a 02 with a 5.4.
