Dumped question
nope. i seriously wouldn't worry about that. The worse thing that could happen is have that exhaust smell in the cab of the truck, but you should be fine where our mufflers are placed way back behind the cab

Ok, dumb question coming. What is "dumping" your exhaust? I recently got a Flowmaster 40 in a trade so yesterday I called a local shop and asked if they would put it on. They said it would be no problem and he asked if I wanted it dumped or with tips. What's the difference and is there any performance/sound issue with one or the other?
I believe they are referring to not putting on a tail pipe and just “dumping” the exhaust directly after the muffler. I doubt there is much difference in performance either way. As previously mentioned you may get some fumes in the cab if you are not moving.

Less restriction (bigger/less pipes) are better for high rpms. More restriction (smaller/more pipes and/or more bends) is better at lower rpms. There is a balance point, on a mid-size V8 (5.4l) the Y-pipe from the factory is a fair compromise. Once you are past the cat, 3" pipes won't scavenge as well at low rpms, you could see some low end power loss or slight reduction in mpg. Probably dyno noticeably but not seat of the pants.
Dumping behind the muffler probably has almost no affect on power or mileage, but will increase in cab noise and probably won't have the sweet hot rod kind of sound most people want. I say probably because there's lots of variables in where you dump, how much piping, bends, etc.
