i know this is probably a well beaten horse. from what i see there is 2 types, mechanical and electrical. which is safer/better? is this like a e-bay only item or something?

 

Are you refering to the dummy ones that fools the computer to thinking it has cats? Probably on ebay, or summitracing.com/

This is crap. Don't buy it. Buy "mil eliminators" if you want to run without cats. Buy the 2 wire kind, or make your own. I'll post how to make them, but I bought mine for $8 off ebay.

 

I bought these from this guy. They didn't work. So I called him and he sent me the 2 wire kind. They worked awesome, and have never given me any trouble. mil eliminators This guy doesn't understand exactly how these things work, but he makes them right.
