MAC CAI issues

Hey guys. I picked up a brand new MAC CAI a month ago for real cheap, even though I know they don't have the best reputation around here. It went together good, with no CEL or anything. I couldn't hear any leaks but lately I'm having a problem. A blue rubber grommet keeps popping out of the rest of the intake for whatever reason. Here's a pic:

What do you guys suggest I do to fix this? A regular screw in clamp is too skinny to hold it in place. I don't want to drive around sucking in air without it passing through the filter . Here's a link to MAC's directions for the intake, if anyone can somehow figure out If it is put together wrong. http://macperformance.com/store/PDF/...structions.pdf

Can you reangle the airfilter or the maf to get a more straight line or move the filter in closer so it sits in there tighter.?

I've already tried to move the air filter assembly, but during installation it was secured with the fasteners from the stock assembly and wont move now. The way the pipe is angled, the MAF assembly only has a little play and can't get moved much closer either .

One of those angles HAS to change! It will never stay together like that.

OK, I looked at the dir's and your problem is how the filter is on. I don't understand how you got it on that way. The connecting rubber hose needs to be on the same side as the filter. Look at the pic in the dir's.

Na I havn't really been driving the truck lately. Its due for an oil change soon, so I'm going to tell my guy up at the shop to correct the way the filter's on. That's the last time I try to save money by letting other people do work for me.
