Exclamation Borla, Bassani, Flow Master and Magnaflow

Does anyone have experience with any of these exhaust systems and know how they compare to Borla and Bassani?

Some people I have spoke to swear by Borla and Bassani for a street application on F-150's. Other people say that you are just paying for the name and not much more.

Which system has the most torque and horsepower gain? Do exhaust system's negatively affect fuel mileage?

I know Bassani was going to be my choice, but had no configuration for my truck, therefore went with JBA. Those are about the same to me. I do like the Bassani for Lightnings, awesome sound. If it were me, I'd go Bassani out of all them, but just edging Borla and Magnaflow by a nose. I'm not big on Flowmaster due to it bieng aluminized steel (rots out), and I guess it makes the least hp's which is hardly noticed anyways. The sound is cool though, probably the loudest. You'd have to hear and see them for yourself to properly judge, everyones favorite and opinion differs alot.

borla

I have a new truck coming out of a mustang. I started with flows on my mustang and switched to borla s-type (stingers). I only chose borla over bassani b/c they were louder and cheaper. The borlas also gave me back a little bottom end torque that I lost with the flows. I will be putting on borlas with dumps on my truck soon only b/c I feel they will have that really deep sound I am after were as the bassani will sound more exotic racy.

I prefer Flowmaster because of its sound, & am willing to risk losing a couple lbs of torque, but Magnaflow full stainless steel will last & give you good power. I know little about the other exhaust brands listed sorry.

I can assure you the the Borla S/I-D/O muffler has increased my throttle response and mid-high end power. I am not disapointed with my application. Sound is not like the flowmaster, though. It has a low rumble with a growl sound so if you want loud it's not in the borla. No drone throughout the RPM range on the road and has a lifetime warranty(1 million mile). Good luck with whatever you chose.
