I have 40s Flows out the back and like the sound they have but I also like the straight pipes, so I was looking at cutouts because I could be quiet for the highway driving. My exaust is aluminumized starting to rust and the tips are all bent up from wheeling. My question is, will adding a mecanical cut out give me a good "straight pipe" sound or will a SS custom exaust be better? 2nd I still want to pass inspection. Thanks

 

Probably would, I would just dump it at the axle with a turn down, will pass emissions
