Question Magnaflow 16612 installation this weekend

Looks like the install on this is pretty smooth from the posts I read. Are there any known issues or problems others have had that I should be aware of before I start?

Thanks in advance.

I just installed my 16612 on monday. It took me about an hour total. It went pretty smooth. The hardest part was getting the old exhaust off. I tried to slide it out of the rubber hangers like it says to do, but had no luck. I just unbolted the whole hanger from the frame of the truck and once i got it all out, just took the hangers off and put them on the new system. Other then that, no problems! I love the sound!!!! Good luck and enjoy

I did it 2 weeks ago, definitly just unbolt the hangers much easier. To me the system was a little to quiet but its starting to break in a little better.

Thanks for the tips guys. I have the exhaust loose but am having a heck of a time trying to get it out in one piece. Did you have to cut the exhaust to get it out? I was hoping to keep it intact.

Thanks!

No cutting I got it out in one piece. I had a 5lbs hand sledge hammer and a piece of 2x4 in my garage and 3 or 4 hits on the front side of the muffler it came out.

16612 install yesterday

I did the install yesterday and like others it took about an hour without any help. Jack stands are a must and a little WD40 for the hangers. The instructions could remind you leave in the first exhaust extension after the crossover. It definetly fits the 6.5 bed and love the sound. Thanks for the infor from the other posts.

Sounds good.
You must keep the interior of your truck clean if you take your shoes off before getting in.
