One more question

I have been looking into getting a magnaflow exhaust installed and in talking to a shop they quoted 300.00 just for new magnaflow muffler and 750 for new magnaflow SI/DO both are all stainless welds and tubing. Lifetime warranty on parts and labor. This seems high to me but not sure any inputs?

Are you saying one shop quoted you $300 and another shop quoted you $750? If that's the case and both systems are identical, it's a no brainer to pick the cheaper shop.

Same shop
$300 for muffler only Magnaflow
$750 for SI/DO with stainless pipes Magnaflow
Both with stainless welds and lifetime warranty on parts and labor.

I want a deep grumble but not loud enough to make the neighbors kill me. I like duals and don't want to mess with the warranty from Ford. Any input would be appreciated.

I had my setup done for about 400 I believe. It was a 16 inch muffler with custom bent pipes. It sounds great. I would shop around.

You can get the whole catback system(16614) online for less than 400 shipped at Hottexhaust.com or performance peddler.

For about $450 (maybe less, haven't priced lately) and an afternoon's work, you could have the full stainless SIDO Magnaflow catback singing it's sweet tune. Very easy to install a catback, but if you don't wish to, I think a shop would install it for you for less than a hundred bucks (labor only). Call performance peddler and tell 'em you read about them on the forums, they discount for members (or at least they did when I called).

Wow, that's stupid. I paid $240 for my SIDO Magnaflow and mandrel bent pipes out the back.

I got a quote the other day for a si/do maganflow custom bent exhaust from a shop. They use the magnaflow muffler that comes with the standard kit, but can bend the pipes any way you like. I want them duals out the same side, or exit on both sides. Quoted me $425 bucks... sounds like you are getting hosed, bro...
