Question getting loud

first the stock exhause size on a 5.4 3v engine is 2.25 or 2.50?

also What is the loudest exhaust syster on the market, because I currently have just a flowmaster 40 series muffler on stock exhaust size, its loud, but im getting a cat back for better flow and i want it louder. so basically what is the loudest cat back exhaust kit for my 05 f150 5.4 3v. i dont care about peformance, because a couple of my friends say they didnt even notice a difference in power just sound and also what is the price range

2.50, & if you have the cash for this.... Long tube headers, high flow cats, & true duals without mufflers.

Loudest system would be open headers, or open manifolds

But LT headers, no cats, bullets dumped, would be pretty dang loud!

but!

I live in calfiornia, the long tube headers and high flow cats are not emissions legal in california, so I need to get shorty headers, magnaflow high flow cats(if there 50 state smog legal) and a cat back system with a muffler, I want an opinion on this setup for the best products and the loudest this sound I can get running my exhaust this way

i would think true duals w/ no muffler would be loud enough. its louder than all my friends trucks, and i dont have headers or anything like that, and mines a 4.6L. when you get it installed tell them to clamp the pipes where you put the muffler at so when you get it inspected you can just pop the muffler in when you get it inspected. wouldn't that work? thats what i do here in texas.
