I got my ram air hood from powerhood.com. (check out the pic of my truck to see it). It was functional until I added the Roush supercharger but the two are not compatible. It arrived painted with the ram air filter kit for $1300. I did notice a small improvement with it, but nothing massive. Did notice a jump in mpg by 1 to 2 mpg though (if I kept my foot out of it).

wow i dont care for red vehicles but that one is gorgeous, even got that sparkle in just the right spot, awesome picture man, now a coulple questions- how much did the rousch kit cost and did you install the hood and rousch kit yourself? and did you notice even more of an improvement with the supercharger i guess than the hood?

Check with the hood manufacturer, I am sure they can tell you which systems work well (align) with their hoods.

Good luck

I got lucky with a smokin deal on my intercooled Roush supercharger as I got it installed for $5000 out the door. It should have cost me about $7000 to $8000 as they broke 3 spark plugs off in the heads and had to remove the heads to get them out. Lucky for me the dealership held up their end of the bargain and I got it for the agreed price.

I installed the hood myself and it is very simple. It came color matched to the truck so I didn't even have to paint it. I unbolted the old hood (4 bolts) and with the help of a couple of neighbors pulled the old hood off and then put the new hood on. There was no alignment needed as it only has one spot to bolt to. I had to take the grill off and reinstall it on the new hood also but that is just a few nuts to remove and then put back on. The only adjustment I had to do was for the hood latch but that was simple enough.
There was not much of a power increase with the hood but I did notice an increase in gas mileage...especially at highway speeds.

As for power with the Roush supercharger...WOW! If you want to wake your F150 up then supercharge it! I have just ordered Dynatec long tube headers with high flow Magnaflow catalytic converters, a new 9 lb pulley to increase the boost from the supercharger and a new custom tune from Troyer Performance. Once you start you just can't stop! It is nice to be able to light the tires up at will now where as before I couldn't even get them to bark.

Why yes boys, we have ourselves a genuine Dodge man in here...it's cool though he's just having fun. Gabe knows he really wanted a nice purdy Ford, but went with Dodge only because they were giving them away for free around here at the time. Those Dodges do come stock with more power (pay attention here Ford and fix this "issue") but Fords are stronger and look a heck of a lot nicer! Remember..."don't buy no ugly truck".
