Hey guys i was thinking of putting on a set of Dynatech Long Tube Headers on my 97 Expedition with a 5.4. Some people said that under the 99-04 lightning/ harley section at rpmoutlet.com would be an exact fit. I would like to buy just the headers. They are $850. I then want to put on hi flow cats. i was thinking magnaflow but im not sure if they make any with a collector on the end or would i have to make something? Then i need a y-pipe that i can hook up to my cat back. I think this way would be cheaper than buying their complete system that is $1295. If their system would even fit. Is anybody positive that the headers will fit? Along with a set of hi flow cats that will bolt up to the headers and a y pipe?
Please correct my on anything

I put them on my 98' f150, and magnaflow high flow cats, so yep they fit! the cats will have to be welded in place probably, mine are.

 

What did you weld your cats to? Looking at the pic on rpmoutlet the headers have a normal collector on the end. http://www.rpmoutlet.com/lightaccufabcast.htm
They then have collectors on their cats that looks like it bolts right up.

 

Yeah if you buy their cats, they bolt up, here is what came with mine, you weld the cat to that piece, and then you can bolt them on.

 

You bought ur magnaflow hi flow cats from rpmoutlet?
where at on the website did u get them. i can only seem to find Pypes Hi Flow Catalytic Converters

 

No, i got them off ebay for $62 each.

 

Oh i got ya if i buy magnaflow cats they come with that piece that i can weld them. Right?

 

no, that piece came with the headers, you slip the cats over that piece of pipe and either clamp or weld them...
