How restrictive are OEM cats?

I am going to order a Banks single monster exhaust, I also have an edge and a volant intake. Am I holding any performance back, by keeping my factory cats. Is replacing them worth the money vs. performance gain?

id cut all 4 off and replace them with 2 magnaflow high flow cats. It will sound better, and actually burn cleaner. I picked up right around 8hp on the dyno

I would ask Mr Troyer to respond about oem cats vs replacement units. He had some good info in a previous thread. It pays to ask around

per my discussion with mike- the gain from high flows from my perfectly working oems were not worth the money per hp gain-also thew hp gains would be higher up in the power band-phil
