Just got a new 07 with the 4.6. I understand from a little research that the o6 intakes don't fit due to a modification of the MAF location. Anybody else heard of this, if so do you know of any manuf. that has a solution for this yet???

 

I'm sure it wont take long before K&N comes out w/ a solution.

 

K&N show the 63-2556 will fit an '07. I just got a 2007 FX4 SCREW and I'm going to pick one up tomorrow afternoon, I'll let you know if it fits...

Well, the thread is about the 4.6, not the 5.4. Its' the 4.6's that seem to have fitment problems.

 

I,ve done some more research and even ordered an intake tube from Airaid and was planning on running a fresh air hose from air cleaner to front shroud. Airaid advertised it to work on 07's but after receiving it yesterday I found that to be far from true. In addition to some changes to the MAF location, the throttle body inlet is also changed as now it comes off the intake and is pointed about 30 degrees or so toward the air cleaner (left). Actually looks like a decent idea by FoMoCo but limits aftermarket choices.
I called Airaid today along with Airforceone and none knew anything about it.
Looks like we'll be SOL for at least 90 days.

 

Why not order the model from airaid that is just the filter cone and heatshield? Uses the stock air tube.

Oops, didnt see the 4.6 in there!

 

Because from what I understand there are also issues with the coupling area between the intake tube and the air cleaner due to some changes in the MAF.
