Put it all together loosely and tighten at the end so you can make those types of adjustments.
Pull the negative terminal and turn the key on and everything else(with the terminal disconnected).
Turn everything off as well as the key and reconnect terminal. Go out for a spin (normal driving thank you) so the computer can relearn it's perimiters and adjust for the new intake.
Have fun.
TIP call K&N and order a new groomett that holds the temp sensor on the back of the tube. They will send it frewe of charge, just tell them it fell apart.
You'll need it later because it will fall apart and drop the sensor right out.

K&N intake Install
Hillman, first Gunk is a spray on engine degreaser that comes in a can you buy at any auto parts store, its about $2.50 a can.Second, remove the little black box that sits between you IAC and your intake tube.I recently installed the Gen. 2 kit (it comes w/ the heat shield) and removed the little box, no problems.Your bonnet should fit then.Good luck.
Yes you can get at Auto Zone. You spray it on,wait about 10 minutes so it can soak in and rinse it off w/ your garden hose.keep the hose moving, and be careful not wet the c.o.p.'s.cover them if you can and cover your air filter before you rinse the engine.
