headers?

WHats up guys.....I have a 2000 F-150 XLT ext cab that i am putting a lightning egine/tranny complete dropout in. I am going to chip it and tune it at a spped shop in my town. I was planning on putting a Magnaflow High flow exhaust on it also. I have shopped around, but i was wondering if anyone here has had experiance with picking out headers for their lightning and could recommend something that really makes a differnce and is worth the money. It will mainly be a daily driver, but i will run it at the 1/8 a couple times. Also, i dont really want to have to take out a loan just for headers if you know what i mean....best banh for my buck....there is other cheaper ways to squeeze hp!

Shorty headers are a waist of money, get a set of long tubes by Dynatech. These made a huge "seat of the pants" difference. I previously had gibson shorties on and dyno'd it after installing the long tubes, i gained 30hp and 35ftlbs over shorties. They also gave the exhaust a very good sound!
