Right now i have a 40 series si/do. I want some more sound, so i figured if i take out the muffler and out a Y-pipe in its place would it be louder?

 

it will be louder but just make sure you dont put any bends in the pipe before the y because the shop were i live screwed me over and but a sligthtly bent pipe bent to both sides were the stock muffler goes and i lost all the real sound i wanted

well i ordered the y -pipe and i gotta pick it up today or tommrow. So does anyone else think that its gonna be louder than the si/do flowmaster 40 series??
