Ideas?

I recently got myself a brand new 2006 F150 King Ranch. I love the truck inside and out. Only thing that this baby is lacking is a nice sounding exhaust. So now I'm in the market to get something put on it. First thing that comes to mind is some Flowmasters, was thinking maybe 50s or 70s, nothing too loud. So I did some calling around town and find out that none of the places in my neck of the woods has Flows, or they can get them and charge me an arm and a leg for them since I would have to pay the shipping cost and stuff to get them to Alaska. But what is offered from Midas are Ravins. Never heard of them but the price for a true dual set up of 55s from these guys is $575 out the door. Now can anyone tell me if this is a decent price for something that I've never heard of and is the sound of these babies any good? Remember I only want the deep rumble and throatiness that any good V8 deserves to have but not too bad that I wake up little babies and old folks in the middle of the night. Also since I'm getting the dual system I was thinking of putting headers on it also. Does anyone know if this would void the warranty of the truck and which headers do you recommend? Also this being a new truck with all the electronic gadgetry and stuff in it what else would I need to do to maximize the performance of my new set up? Last time I ran headers and Flows was on my old 82 F150 and it was too easy to retune and stuff since I had a carb. Thanks for any help you guys can give me. Also coming soon to the truck is a complete DB sound system to the doors and a JL Stealthbox packed with a 12 under the back seat. Hopefully this will sound as good as my trailblazer running DBs in the doors powered by DB amps and backed up by 2 10" L7s running off a 500 watt Rockford.

I've heard ravin mufflers are good , but then I've heard some people say they aren't happy with them but you know as well as everyone else that it's all a matter of preference, but.. I have more good responses than bad ones if that helps at all , as far as a warranty goes I believe If you just put an exhaust on from the "cats back" (catback) that you should be fine , I may be wrong though but I'm about 80% sure , I can't tell you one thing , I recently cut my muffler off which to most people is a big turnoff but .. Ill tell you what I put a extension piece in there about 2 ft. long and dumped it underneath the car before the axle and its real deap and throaty and is the perfect amount of volume, not enough to annoy people but loud enough to know your commin , it's like having a catback only real mean sounding , hope I can help

I never heard of Ravin mufflers. But it sounds to me like you dont want roaring loud, I heard about ppl getting Harley Davidson exhaust on their truck, sounds regular at idle, and nice & roaring when taking off. Maybe look into that.

Check out Maganaflow. It's got a low rumble at idle and normal driving but it wakes up when you hit the gas. I had Flowmaster's on my last truck and didn't like the annoying drone in the cab, they just got too loud after 4 years.
