I started installing a "Flowmaster Force II" cat-back exhaust system on my truck late this afternoon. Step 4 detailing the removal of the stock system reads "... Once the clamp is removed it may be necessary to heat this connection for ease of removal."
HO HO HO HO HO HO!!! Very funny. They forgot to mention that it may also be necessary to break out the grinder, the portable bandsaw, a chisel, and a hammer, then proceed to torch the pipe, cut it, chisel it, hammer it, cuss at it, kick the muffler, yell some more, get so hot that the steam coming off of my body made me think that something was on fire for a minute there, and FINALLY.... The farking thing is off. Holy crap, that was waaaaay more of a pain in the @ss than they described. The removal of the old system is *supposed* to be the hard part. Man, I hope so. Planning on putting on the new system tomorrow. Of course I had to run through the 'hood once tonight with no muffler because I knew my neighbors would never forgive me if I didn't. And because... That's how I roll.
ps - Thank God for beer.

Makes sense to me, because another comedian, the instruction writer's buddy, designed the catback.
Cheers

They always seem to forget to add the part where if you turn the whole exhaust so that the stud, or what ever the thing sticking up on the pipe for the cat is, that it will the slid off with some squirting of penetration oil. I got mine off in less then a half-hour and the new one on in about the same. Install is easy though. At least with the borla systems that I have installed. Good luck
