Cut out or straight pipes from stock cats true dual

I've asked a lot of people about this and have not gotten full explaination that I'm looking for to make the right decision about it , we all know the result of pullin the muffler off and thats a little loss of power but what i wanna know is am I better off gettin a cut out or just throwin straight pipes on from right behind the stock cats with a true dual , I've heard of people cutting the muffler off and putting a piece of straight pipe in the place of it and then throwing on another y to make it a dual which i really don't wanna do because the flow of the exhaust will be right out the passenger side and less exhaust will flow out the other side , another thing is , if i do go along with the true dual straight pipes from the stock cats should i even bother connecting them at any point and will that so anything for me?
I'm not looking for people to tell me this and that about loosing power and emissions and all that **** , i just wanna know whats a good setup cuz i see a lot of people like their exhaust bt always want is a little louder so i figure why not go all out and just do a variation of "straight pipes" , My 5.0 gt has straight pipes so thats what I'm used to , but the whole cut out business i don't know ... i heard it screws with your engine

I would say true duals, a cut out would be loud and very crackling, Heres the true dual system you should look into

run two pipes from the cats ( bring left over to the right ) x pipe them, then un the pipes, twi si/so mufflers, then run your tips out the back as you wish ( straight exit, side exit... )

that sounds like a real good set up , I wanna try to go without the mufflers because i know I'm gonna want it louder.. so im not sure if i wanna drop the money on the mufflers when i may do away with them anyway , would there be any point in still throwing the X on there if i didn't have the mufflers?

I put a cutout after my cats and its loud, after a 90 mile trip you've had enough, actually you'll be a little numb in the ears and be ready for a nap and a set of ear plugs. its very loud between 55-70mph, anything more or less and its okay. Since gas $1.99 now I'll be running open as much as possible. The extra rumble sometimes makes for a bad headache.

How is it at idle , is it respectable ?!?! hahaha I'm trying to figure out how I would even fit a cut out in there becuase there isn't much space between my back cats and the muffler , I don't know how i would fit it , mabye because i have a 6.5 bed and a reg. cab everyting is shortened up

hmm well yeah you could go without mufflers, just run the pipes to the axle, and get the pipes to run over the axle and out, and yes, X pipe makes a big difference, your right pipe would pop more since the right is mostly straight out, and the left wont because theres more curves in it ( bringing over to the right ) in the x pipe the sound all comes together as 1 in the center, and exits dual out and will produce the same sound level
