Air Raid Intake Vibrating?
Air Raid Intake Vibrating?
I Recently had an Air Raid Intake installed in my 2006 F150 5.4 and I noticed I started getting vibration sounds coming from it. Especially more demanding tasks like going up hills, towing, on gravel roads and at higher altitudes. Any takers on what might be causing this?
I to have the same intake, but there is nothing to worry about.
the vibration is just the new CMCV's (charge motion control valves)
opening and closing. I promise you the vibration was there before, but is only noticable now because of the way the airaid intake attaches to the fender.
( so says AIRAID)
So don't worry I'm not. Have fun with the performance like I am!!!!!!!!!!!11

Same problem here
I have a 2005 F150 5.4. My Airaid made a vibration everytime I got into the throttle lightly. The sound it made was ok, but the vibration was a joke. I took it off and am selling it. I notice zero vibration with the stock intake back on.
Vibration Issue
I have a Volant Intake system on my 04. and I have the same vibration issue. I believe it to be sort of the same as the long tubes the kids used to buy at the store. Just a long plastic tube, but when you spin in around, it makes that vibration sound. I'm pretty sure it's just the air trubulance within the intake system. Nothing to worry about, unless it just bothers the heck out of you.
Airraid Intake Vibration
I Had The Same Issue Occur On My Truck So I Added 2 90degree L Shape Brackets (from A Hardware Store) With Some Sheet Metal Screws And It Took Car Of The Vibrating Noise I Screwed It From The Fender Support To The Intake Box As Well As From The Front Radiator Support To The Other Side Of The Intake Box And Now You Dont Even Hear It All You Hear Is The Roar!!!
